It is hard to classify artists due to their label situations. Frenchie is a member of Gucci Mane’s rising label, 1017 Brick Squad. Close with the entire label, Frenchie is a direct artist of Waka Flocka Flame’s label, Brick Squad Monopoly. While Frenchie is a member of a label, he is also the head of his own company, Man Down Entertainment, also known as MDE.
A company based in New York City, Man Down Entertainment has ties to the South. The label is full of talented artists. Thus far, Hip Hop Vibe has updated the world about Frenchie, Donvee, and Y.Balla, so now Sony is the latest artist mentioned in the “Welcome to Man Down Entertainment” series. Sony is also a native of The Bronx, New York and he is making his rounds in the game, as he is also a member of Brick Squad Monopoly.
Recently, Sony announced his Bipolar mixtape, which will be hosted by DJ Ace and DJ Kay Slay, the perfect blend of his North-meets-South style. Over the past few year, Sony has shown the world who he is as an artist. One of the more talented up-and-comers, even his name sticks out as it stands for “Son of New York.” Sony has several street hits under his belt, including “9 AM.”
