From 2007 through 2011, Lil Wayne was easily the hottest rapper in the game. This period of time saw him get the co-signs from Eminem and Jay-Z that he was pushing for. Also, some began to insert Lil Wayne into the argument of being one of the all-time greats.
Since 2011, Lil Wayne has continued being a workhorse, but a lot has changed with him. He no longer is proud of being Cash Money Records’ franchise player. Nowadays, it’s not uncommon to see Lil Wayne putting his label and “father,” Birdman, on blast.
Lil Wayne saw his run take place right before the social media explosion that’s going on now. A lot of people have looked for Lil Wayne on such social media platforms as Instagram only to find out that he isn’t there. Tonight, all of this changed and Lil Wayne has an official Instagram, @LilTunechi.
