One of the earliest members of Maybach Music, Gunplay held it down for the team in Miami. Even when the newer members joined the team and took the spotlight, Gunplay still held it down. Because of this, Gunplay was the most-popular member outside of the big three.
Dating back to 2012, Gunplay has burned through various release dates for his debut album. Unlike the newer artists, Gunplay’s deal with MMG is through Def Jam and not Atlantic Records. He explained his situation in his 2012 Hip Hop Vibe interview.
Gunplay finally secured a title for his album, Living Legend, and the release date for his album, July 31. With a few weeks to go, Gunplay has released the cover for the album. The cover was released via his Instagram.
