In November, Kodak Black was sentenced to 46 months in prison after falsifying information on his gun applications. He was originally arrested at the Rolling Loud festival in Miami in May of last year. Kodak was a superstar but simply couldn’t stay out of trouble.

The Florida rapper’s official release date has been revealed as according to TMZ, it will be August 14, 2022. Kodak could get out a few days early though due to federal policies allowing inmates to be released early if they get out on a weekend.

As of now, Kodak is being sent to a prison in Oklahoma City. This is a quick transfer though as he will have one more to go in Kentucky. He has since been incarcerated in Miami.

Kodak’s lawyer has also been making posts to his Instagram page saying how Kodak has been subject to inhumane conditions as he has been drugged and beaten down. He was reported to have attacked a correctional officer during a brawl a few months ago though. Kodak did give back to the community in Florida for the holidays though by giving out thousands of dollars in gift cards to families and supplies for children.
