Even before the Washington Wizards were a winning team, Wale was showing love to his home team. This was surprising, seeing how he is signed to the Miami-based Maybach Music and he joined them right when the Miami Heat took off. But, the tide has since turned.
Wale is doing seemingly everything, right now, as he and Jerry Seinfeld are working on The Album About Nothing. This new album is Wale’s fourth studio album and a sequel to The Mixtape About Nothing. Now, he has taken on a business role with his hometown Wizards.
The DC rapper has mentioned Ted Leonsis and the Wizards in his lyrics, now Wale is working with the team. Together with Kanye West, Wale is redesigning the Washington Wizards’ jerseys. A few years ago, the team went with a retro look, which was inspired by the Washington Bullets, the franchise’s former identity.
