During the summer, 50 Cent moved into his newest, of many, business ventures. The latest of these ventures was Team Money Team Promotions. 50 Cent had been friends with Floyd Mayweather, Jr. for years. One of 50 Cent’s closest friends, he often appeared at the fights of Floyd “Money” and decided to capitalize.
50 Cent was just getting the company off the ground, adding a few other well-known fighters to the company. Floyd Mayweather, Jr. and Manny Pacquiao have enjoyed a long-standing rivalry. As fans were beginning to question if TMT Promotions would ever come to form, 50 Cent added Pacquiao to his roster.
Close to two months later, 50 Cent took to his Twitter to announce he had cut all ties with the company. 50 Cent would say he was selling his TMT jacket for $1 if anyone wanted to purchase it. The fighters will be moving to SMS Promotions, because the other partner in the venture did not put their half of the money up.
