Young Thug Announces That “Slime Language 2” Album is Finally Arriving This Week

Fans have been wondering for a while now of when Young Thug will finally release his “Slime Language 2” album. The first one was released back in August 2018 and the demand has been high for the Atlanta rapper to put out the sequel.

On Monday evening, Thug took to his social media feeds to reveal that Slime Language 2 will officially be out this Friday, April 16. The cover art featured many people on a large couch as it appears to be inside of a mansion. A green-colored dog was also on display. It also contained a “Slime Language 2” font.

The last time that Thug released a project, he saw massive success with his “So Much Fun” album in August 2019. That debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart and is also platinum in the United States. It was led by the smash hit singles, “The London,” featuring J. Cole and Travis Scott, and “Hot,” feat. fellow Young Stoner Life Records artist, Gunna. 19 tracks were available in total with additional appearances from Lil Baby, Future, Quavo, and more.

SL 2 will also serve as another YSL compilation album. in the first one from 2018, it saw success then as it had a No. 8 Billboard 200 debut. Many expect the sequel to possibly hit No. 1 due to the high demand over the last two years for this project to be released.
