TB outbreak kills one in Long Beach, emergency declared
A tuberculosis outbreak has taken place at a single-room occupancy hotel in Long Beach, California. As a result, it has led to one fatality and nine hospitalizations. This is including homelessness, mental health issues, substance abuse, and serious medical conditions. With the outbreak traced back to a privately operated hotel, health authorities are actively reaching out to approximately 170 people who may have been exposed.
