Coming from the West Coast, there are many who expected a traditional sound from Tyga. But, one thing pundits need to realize is that there is nothing traditional about the “New West.”

On Hotel California, Tyga channeled his inner Tupac on a track patterned after his 1996 hit, “Hit ‘Em Up,” featuring Jadakiss and a Pac sample.
This evening, Tyga sat down with MTV News and he spoke on both the track and his upcoming album. When Tyga first got the track, he wanted to add Nicki Minaj to it, but things did not work out. Instead, Tyga added Jadakiss to the track and then he managed to clear the Tupac sample.
