With the West Coast back in action, Kokane is still playing a major part. Two decades ago, during the height of the West Coast’s run, Kokane rose to fame and became one of the biggest rappers from the area. But, when the city of Los Angeles fell out of the spotlight, so did Kokane.

Though he has a mixed reaction from the fans, Jerry Heller was instrumental in the development of the initial West Coast hip hop scene. Contrary to popular belief, not everyone out West harbors deep hatred for Jerry Heller, instead there are many who admire him. Yesterday, Kokane took to Twitter and he announced he and Jerry Heller have something in the works.
