Man, this week has been full of high-profile hip hop mixtape releases. A lot of projects dropped, but none of them were as big as Birdman and Rick Ross’ joint mixtape. Back in 2008, Birdman promised an album with Rick Ross. The world waited five years and honestly everybody forgot about it, since they did so many other projects.
The H was the name of this album that never came. But, DJ Khaled got Birdman and Rick Ross together to release this project this week. DJ Khaled became the host of The H, which turned into a mixtape. An tight, eleven joint project, this has been the most high-profile mixtape of this past week.
So much heat dropped this past week, all the mixtapes were dope. But, when the conversation centers around popularity, of course Birdman and Rick Ross win, hands down. The H features a collaboration with Gudda Gudda and Kevin Rudolf, among others and is Radio Invasion’s Mixtape of the Week on Hip Hop Vibe.
