Following the trend originated by his label boss, Lil Wayne, Tyga released several songs, and a mixtape, leading up to the Hotel California release. One year ago, Tyga helped lead the transition of Los Angeles hip hop back to success in the rap game. Along the way, Tyga also helped to add a different element to YMCMB.
Tyga went on a strong run in 2012, appearing on songs from Chris Brown, Game, and many others. Keeping his name out there in the months since his album was released, Tyga began promoting his “187” single with Rick Ross. Tyga released a 187 mixtape for his single now renamed to “Dope.”
In a little less than a month, Tyga will release Hotel California. With the release date closing in, Tyga has more singles in the works. Other guests on the albums include Future, 2 Chainz, Jadakiss, Lil Wayne, Tupac Shakur, and Wiz Khalifa. On April 9, Tyga will release Hotel California.
