Months following the release of 2008’s The Recession, Young Jeezy announced he had a new album on the way. At the time, listeners had grown used to Young Jeezy releasing a new album every year. In 2007, Young Jeezy released an album with his group, USDA.
Young Jeezy told fans to lookout for a new single from his Thug Motivation 103 album during the summer of 2009. An official single never came, as Young Jeezy traveled to Miami to record. During the spring of 2010, Young Jeezy released his single, “Lose My Mind,” featuring Plies.
While the song was a hit, no album came to follow. Young Jeezy continued recording new music, while Rick Ross began rising to the top of the hip hop game. Following the release of “B.M.F.,” with Styles P, Young Jeezy released a freestyle over the track. The freestyle was perceived as a diss by Rick Ross, who promptly responded to his former friend.
This year, Young Jeezy promised fans his long-awaited album would finally be released. Following delays during the summer, T.I. spoke up on Young Jeezy’s behalf, demanding Def Jam release his album. A misprint from Target.com said the album would be released on December 20, 2025. During a radio interview, Rick Ross hinted at being the reason Young Jeezy’s album continued to be delayed, after Young Jeezy said his Miami lifestyle was the hold-up.
Def Jam ended up giving Young Jeezy a December 20 release date for Thug Motivation 103, which was subtitled Hustlerz Ambition. With everything from the past two years serving as inspiration, Young Jeezy is finally ready to release his album. Two weeks from now, the album will finally be released for the public.
