Akon releases new EP TT Freak with TikTok
Akon is back, giving fans a new mixture of his classic sound with new inspiration. The world renowned artist releases the EP, TT Freak, a seven track project combining Afrobeats with pop music. Dropping multiple teasers on Instagram, Akon made fans aware of new music on the way. In addition to giving a dance hall vibe, TT Freak shows a different sound from the artist. Produced and released on Akon’s Konvict Kulture label, you can hear modern influences from TikTok on the album.
Although it’s been a few years since Akon released a studio album, he still finds a way to top the charts. As a multiple Grammy nominated artist, his catalog of music credits surpasses most. In 2004, his debut album, Trouble, made Akon a star. The singles, “Locked Up” featuring Styles P, and “Lonely” dominated airwaves.
