Emerging in 2011 as the hottest mixtape rapper, 2 Chainz literally reinvented himself. Initially known as Tity Boi, 2 Chainz was among the many artists on Ludacris’ DTP roster. Buried on the roster, 2 Chainz got a moment to shine as Playaz Circle in 2007.
In 2007, Playaz Circle got their shine with “Duffle Bag Boy,” which featured Lil Wayne. At the time, Lil Wayne was the hottest rapper on the planet and a song with him guaranteed success. More success came for Tity Boi, some four years later.
2 Chainz, nine years later, has enjoyed being on top of the game and is now on the comeback trail, which leads him to Sway on Shade 45. His comeback project is ColleGrove, a joint effort with Lil Wayne. As he spoke to Sway, 2 Chainz spoke on this project and the death of Bankroll Fresh, his friend and collaborator.
