50 Cent Salutes Pop Smoke, For Four Posthumous BBMAs Wins, After Seeing Smoke’s Mother Accept Top Billboard 200 Album Award [VIDEO]

Last night at the Billboard Music Awards, it was a huge night for the late Pop Smoke. He was nominated for 10 awards, as he ended up winning four of them. One of the most solid moments was when his mother accepted the Top Billboard 200 album award on his behalf.

“Thank you to the fans for honoring the life and spirit of my son, so much that he continues to manifest as if he were still here in the flesh. He created music for the kid who has to sleep four in a room, the kid who has to figure out how to get to school each day so he can graduate and make his mom proud. He did this so that 14-year-olds would not have to kill to prove they are somebody.”

50 Cent also went on to salute his close friend. He took to Instagram to post a photo of Smoke’s mother holding an award with the caption “Pop said he wanted to take his mom to a award show. 😏”

50 was also the executive producer for Smoke’s posthumous debut studio album last summer, “Shoot For The Stars, Aim For The Moon.” That project debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart and went platinum. It also created platinum hits such as “For The Night” feat. DaBaby and Lil Baby, “What You Know Bout Love,” and “Hello” feat. A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie.
