It looks as if there may be a new king of New York’s rap scene. The efforts of the veterans, namely Nas, cannot be overlooked. However, A$AP Rocky has created new energy. Currently, everyone from his native Harlem to the strip clubs in Miami are blasting his “Fuckin’ Problem” single, featuring 2 Chainz, Drake, and Kendrick Lamar.
This definitely is not the Jay-Z era in New York, but the focus is back on the Big Apple, the birthplace of hip hop. One of the main reasons A$AP Rocky gained fame and acclaim is due to his work outside of the city. A$AP Rocky found a strong ally in the form of pop singer, Rihanna.
Making his media rounds, since his Long.Live.A$AP officially released today, A$AP Rocky stopped by Hot 97’s Cipha Sounds & Rosenberg to discuss some things. Of course, the album was discussed, but A$AP Rocky also talked about touring with Rihanna, among other things.
