In the mid-2000s, Akon rose to fame as one of the hottest artists in the game. Known for such records as “Locked Up” and “Smack That,” Akon made bigger noise in the business world. His partnerships with SRC and Interscope Records helped many artists find success.
Outside of his record labels, Akon found success as a manager. For a while, Akon served as manager to Lady Gaga, assisting her in becoming a force in the game. But, Akon has returned to the music scene and spent a lot of time on the road, in recent months.
Early this year, Akon is back for a worthy cause in the Middle East. He is planning a concert for the soldiers in Iraq who are fighting the terrorist group, ISIS. This concert is intended to take place next month.
