When he returned to the public eye, in September 2011, B.o.B. announced he was working on a new album. Initially, the album was supposed to be released before the end of 2011, but when T.I. was released from prison, it was revealed their albums would be released early in 2012. As he has waited for the release of his album, B.o.B. has released several hit singles, among them his recently-platinum, “Strange Clouds.”

Following the success of the “Strange Clouds” single, B.o.B. the album would share the same title as the lead single. The Strange Clouds album has been the subject of much discussion, but the album has yet to have a solid release date. Early last month, B.o.B. announced a release date for Strange Clouds. At the time, B.o.B. revealed his sophomore effort would be released on March 13, 2012.

B.o.B. received a bit of good news yesterday, when he revealed his “Strange Clouds” single had gone platinum. While the original version of the song has gone platinum, the remix featuring Young Jeezy and T.I. is also doing well. It seems as if this is all B.o.B. fans will have for the next few months, as B.o.B. announced his album has been rescheduled and is currently pegged for a May 1, 2012 release.
