Tax evasion has brought down many of the biggest rappers in the game. However, there have been a few rappers who went down for both tax evasion and drugs. Recently, Ja Rule completed his gun/drug sentence and began his tax evasion stint. Another rapper who rose to fame during the time Ja Rule did was Beanie Sigel.
From 2009 through 2011, Beanie Sigel feuded with his former boss, Jay-Z. Never getting a full response from him, Beanie Sigel eventually extended an olive branch to Jay-Z and all was well. Last summer, Beanie Sigel also released his comeback album, This Time, before going to prison on tax charges.
Beanie Sigel was sent to prison early because he was caught with drugs the week he was supposed to turn himself in. Heading into prison and serving his sentence, Beanie Sigel has now faced sentencing over his drug possession. Facing sentencing, Beanie Sigel will serve an extra six to twenty-three months in prison.
