Philadelphia has returned to the forefront of hip hop, following two of the biggest mixtape rappers, Meek Mill and Tone Trump, signing with Rick Ross and Young Jeezy, respectively. The success of these newcomers has helped put the spotlight back on a number of veteran artists. Beanie Sigel, at one point, was Philadelphia’s biggest rap act, as he was signed to the popular Roc-A-Fella Records.

Beanie Sigel, along with the rest of the roster, left Roc-A-Fella Records in 2008 and returned to the mixtape scene. Five years since the release of his last album, Beanie Sigel has a new album on the way. This Time is the name of Beanie Sigel’s latest album and it will be released in four days. With the album’s release only days away, Beanie Sigel has been making his rounds, popping up at Power 105.1’s “The Breakfast Club.”

During his interview with “The Breakfast Club,” Beanie Sigel not only discussed his new album, he also spoke on Damon Dash and the relationship they currently share. Since the 2008 demise of Roc-A-Fella Records, many, including former artists, are confused about the status of the label. Beanie Sigel would also speak on this with “The Breakfast Club,” along with a host of other topics.
