This year’s BET Awards was quite an amazing ceremony. Unfortunately, thus far, the VMAs are not getting the same type of love. Because of the number of black and hip hop acts at the VMAs, starting with DJ Khaled hosting the pre-show, it is being billed as the BET Awards.
What many fail to realize, however, is that BET and MTV are two networks, both owned by Viacom. This is why BET is also airing the VMAs, which is not a bad thing. Overall, this is showing how far the black and hip hop world has come.
Nevertheless, the BET Awards is one of Twitter’s leading trending topics. Due to the quality of tonight’s show, fans are comparing it to the last major award show. They are all over Twitter, saying they liked the BET Awards much better.
