A lot of credit is given to Big Sean for bringing Detroit back to prominence in the hip hop world. Previously, Detroit was only known for the people who were associated with the legendary, Eminem. Now, the other artists on the scene are getting their time to shine and Big Sean is at the forefront.
In 2011, on the heels of his debut album, Big Sean announced he was working on his sophomore album. For various reasons, including Kanye West’s frequent 2012 delays of Cruel Summer, contributed to his album being pushed back. Big Sean took time off to rest and then regrouped and returned with Hall of Fame.
The album has now been out for a week and the first week numbers are in. Big Sean has done solidly and is the rapper being discussed the most right now. He started out his first week moving 72,000 copies and Juicy J also did well, as he moved 64,000 copies in his first week.
