Not all of the West Coast hip hop veterans are rappers. In LA, Big U played a big role, but he was one of those guys who was solely in the streets. Like most people who choose that life, Big U decided to make changes after going to prison.
Big U has since become a very positive person within his community, solving problems, as opposed to being a part of them. This has been instrumental in the strong relations of the new era. No rappers can be closer than YG and Nipsey Hussle, and that’s by design.
This morning, Big U stopped by “The Breakfast Club,” sitting down with DJ Envy, Angela Yee, and Charlamagne Tha God. In the interview, he brought along some young men he is working with. The conversation saw him discuss his community, Nipsey Hussle and YG, being in prison, changing his life, and more.
