In this day and age, it is sad that people are still being discriminated upon, because of race. Close to sixty years, since the Civil Rights movement, people are still fighting for equality. Unfortunately, Lia Gant became the latest person to endure senseless racism.

Lia Gant was recently in Bloomfield, Michigan, a Detroit suburb, when she went to J. Alexander to eat. While she was there, Gant was forced to give up her seat to a white man. When she complained to management, Gant was rudely hit, had her drink thrown away, and left.

Taking matters up with her attorney, Lia Gant is sharing her experience of racism with the world. She shared the video of her experience on her personal Facebook page. In addition to having her drink thrown away, the bartender refused to serve her.
