Shaheem Reid is one of the most-renowned journalists in hip hop. Making his rounds through many of the biggest publications, Shaheem Reid currently does hip hop articles for MTV. Back in 2011, Jay-Z announced the launch of his online lifestyle network, properly titled Life + Times.
Immediately, Life + Times became one of the biggest media outlets for hip hop. Going over and beyond, Life + Times has several popular web shows. When launching their latest web series, Shaheem Reid was selected to be the host. “The Round Up” is the name of the show hosted by Shaheem Reid.
Jay-Z was not the only major Brooklyn to debut in 1996, as Busta Rhymes came out strong in 1996 as well. Fittingly, “The Round Up” turned to Busta Rhymes as their first-ever guest. During the interview, Shaheem Reid talked to Busta Rhymes about his longevity and the process of the rap game.
