The best part about this 2017-2018 run has been Cardi B. While she was on “Love & Hip Hop,” Cardi B kept telling those people that she had hits. Even with how popular she was on social media, people weren’t paying attention.
One thing Cardi B did was continue releasing music, whether the powers that be took her seriously, or not. Based off her own popularity, alone, Cardi B was doing millions of views. It wasn’t long before she got signed and she turned that into a number one hit.
Cardi B is still cashing in on “Bodak Yellow,” as it remains on the charts, nearly a year after it dropped. Recently, Cardi B has something else to celebrate with the single. The song has now gone 5X platinum, meanwhile the wait for the “Bartier Cardi” video remains.
