In some ways, Cardi B received comparisons to Joseline Hernandez, but that’s no longer the case. Unlike Joseline, Cardi B came to VH1 with a fan base. On “Love & Hip Hop,” Cardi B only expanded her fan base and parlayed this into a record deal with Atlantic Records.

Cardi B announced she only signed a two-year deal with VH1 and would leave once the deal expired. Following her second season, Cardi signed with Atlantic Records. During the summer of 2017, “Bodak Yellow” dropped and topped Billboard for three weeks.

This week, Joseline Hernandez dropped “Hate Me Now,” a record that is considered a Cardi B diss. Responding to the backlash, Joseline said it wasn’t a diss, just facts. Now, Cardi B has responded, saying all she’s doing is minding her own business, but people are still coming after her.
