Cardi B speaks on throwing microphone at fan in Las Vegas
Back in late July, Cardi B went viral after throwing a microphone at a fan in Las Vegas. This was while she made an appearance on stage at the Drai’s beach club. Cardi initially spoke on how hot it was in Vegas, and wanted someone to throw some water on her.
As a result, a fan soon threw a cup of water with ice in it. That immediately caused Cardi to throw the mic, in anger. Furthermore, it also appeared that that fan went on to be escorted out. The microphone thrown was also auctioned on eBay for charity, and raised almost $100,000.
Meanwhile, Cardi is now publicly speaking on that incident. She was interviewed on The Breakfast Club on Friday morning, and claimed that she believed the fan doing this was intentional. Cardi added that the incident went down 10-15 minutes after saying she wanted wanted the water thrown on her.
“It was hot as f****! That Vegas hear ain’t no joke. It was hotter than a motherf*****. So, there was a part of the show where I told people to splash me [with water]. But even when I told them to splash me, I told them to be careful with the face… Four songs later, which was 15 or 20 minutes later, this b**** threw water and ice on my face. So I just automatically reacted.”
Meanwhile, Cardi also released her new “Bongos” single, on Friday. This included a huge feature from Megan Thee Stallion, as Meg also appeared on Cardi’s Billboard Hot 100 chart-topping “WAP” single, in 2020.
