Since the summer, Cassidy has been back in the spotlight. Releasing a mixtape earlier this year, Cassidy wound up getting into a minor spat with Meek Mill. Some have compared Meek Mill and Cassidy, as they have similar backgrounds and hail from the same city, Philadelphia. However, many have picked up on the animosity between the two.
Meek Mill was among the many rappers caught up in the battle rap craze and he made a comment on Twitter leading many to believe he wanted to battle Cassidy. When it looked as if Meek Mill backed away from the initial challenge, he cleared the rumors up with another Twitter post. Meek Mill said his fellow Philadelphia rapper had to get his buzz up before he would battle him.
Now “beefing” with Meek Mill, Cassidy arrived in New York City and talked to Power 105.1’s “The Breakfast Club” about his issues with him. Cassidy would also speak on his relationship with Swizz Beatz. It was a decade ago when Swizz Beatz discovered Cassidy and wound up signing him to his label, Full Surface.
