On the outside looking in, Kevin Durant and Dwyane Wade leaving their respective teams was shocking. But, in the case of the Thunder, they have always found creative ways to come up short. Meanwhile, over in Miami, the Heat continued to lowball Wade.
Dwyane Wade has his chance to truly be an appreciated franchise player with the Chicago Bulls. Finally, Kevin Durant has his chance to be a champion with the Golden State Warriors. The Kevin Durant situation, particularly, had Charles Barkley more vocal than usual.
Charles Barkley, who forced his way out of Philadelphia back in 1992, addressed his criticism. While he wasn’t too hard on Wade, for the obvious reasons, he explained his disappointment in Durant for joining one of the top teams. Explaining his own departure, Barkley said he joined Phoenix, as opposed to Chicago with Jordan or Portland with Drexler.
