The club promoter who alleged got beat up by DaBaby and his crew is pressing the rapper to respond to his calls for settlement, or face being brought to court.
Kenneth Carey alleges that DaBaby jumped and robbed him back on January 2nd. He claims to have suffered facial injuries when he met up with the rapper to pay him $20K for a club hosting later that night. Apparently things took a left turn when DaBaby got upset due to a miscommunication of the fee amount. Baby believed he was owed $30K and got upset thinking Carey was trying to play him. DaBaby was arrested and charged with battery soon after.
Now attorneys for Carey are offering DaBaby a way to settle this matter. While Kenneth has threatened to sue, his legal team at The Lions’ Den, Attorneys at Law has reach out to the rapper about settling this outside of courts. They have given him and his team a week to respond “in hopes of settling this matter expeditiously.” If their plea is not met with an answer, then Kenneth and his attorneys will file charges and go after DaBaby for damages.
Let’s see how this turns out, given DaBaby response to fight any lawsuit aimed his way.
