In the two years since the world met Cookie Lyon (Taraji P. Henson), they have learned she takes no mess from anyone. However, in the weeks since Giuliana (Nia Long) made her debut, “Empire” viewers have seen she has her way, too. Anika (Grace Gealey) has the only kill.
Still, Anika has proven, time and time, again, to be no match for Cookie, so the battle is between Cookie and Giuliana. Last week’s “Empire” showed Giuliana and Lucious (Terrence Howard) had a history. Now, they appear to be rekindling what they had back in 2002.
When Cookie went to Lucious to let him know she wants to try again, she had news to face, Giuliana is Empire’s first lady. As she walked in on Giuliana, Anika was also present, making for quite the scene. Fans couldn’t help but point this out, as they said they see Cookie and Anika forming an alliance to rid themselves of Giuliana.
