Create Music Group Signs Tekashi69 To Publishing Deal; CMG CEO Explains Why 69 Is A Good Addition

Tekashi69 continues to make headlines in 2018, whether it’s with good or bad publicity. Some highs include releasing his hit single FEFE with Nicki Minaj along with the Spanish banger Bebe feauting Annuel AA. Controversy included him getting robbed for his chains after a video shoot in his hometown of Brooklyn this summer along with currently facing charges for sex with a minor from 2015 and assaulting a teen who took pictures of him at a Houston mall earlier this year.

69 is now continuing to secure his bag as he just linked a long-term publishing deal with Create Music Group, according to Billboard. Create Music Group CEO John Strauss voiced his thoughts on why he thinks 69 is a great addition to the team.

“6ix9ine has changed the music landscape,” said Strauss. “He is breaking boundaries like no one else and is without a doubt the most exciting new artist of the year. We are looking forward to working with him and his team for many years to come.”

It looks like 69 made a solid move considering the fact that CMG earns 6 billion music streams each month. Among the artists they have earned revenue from are Future, Migos, Lil Yachty, Post Malone, Wiz Khalifa, and more.
