In 2011, Dave East first began turning heads, with his music. At the time, he was in Oklahoma City, playing basketball. After that ended, he came back to New York City and started taking music much more seriously.
Dave East made a lot of noise, in the 2013-2014 period. Soon, there were rumblings about Dave East and Nas linking up. The two have now made an official partnership, with Nas signing him to his Mass Appeal label, and doing a joint venture with Def Jam, Nas’ longtime label home.
While Dave East has a lot of things going his way, he isn’t quite a household name, yet. Despite doing singles with Chris Brown, and the like, he’s yet to put out that hit record. However, he still managed to be late to his show, last night, and the fans were going in on him, leading to Dave East telling one to not come.
