Harlem rapper, Dave East, has had the mixtape scene on lock for the past four years. But, the past year has seen him making himself known to the mainstream world. Being mentored by Nas is definitely playing into his hands, as he is on the brink of stardom.
Dave East may very well be the next New York rapper to truly blow and he follows the likes of Cam’ron and Jim Jones. These fellow Harlem natives and former best friends had success in 2002 and 2006, respectively. Now, the two are at odds with each other.
Angie Martinez recently hosted Dave East at Power 105.1 and she spoke on this, with him. Last week, Jim Jones and Cam’ron began arguing right in Dave East’s Instagram comments. During the interview, Dave East gave his opinion on that situation, and much more.
