Early in Drake’s rap career, a lot of people didn’t take him seriously, for what is now a bizarre reason. The people didn’t think his “Degrassi” background would mesh with the rap world. A decade later, Drake showed them, becoming the top rapper in the game.
Drake, over the course of his career, has always faced the memes and jokes of Jimmy in the wheelchair. On “Degrassi,” Drake played the character of Jimmy, who was shot, and left paralyzed. Shortly thereafter, Drake left the show for Young Money.
Tonight, Drake dropped the “I’m Upset” music video and he ended up winning Twitter. The fans saw the “I’m Upset” video and how Drake started it, waking up on the Toronto Raptors’ court, to the ending. In the end, he took out the dude who shot Jimmy, so Drake really doesn’t “ever f*cking miss.”
