Right now, a lot of people are going in on Demarcus Cousins because of him going off on a reporter during a postgame interview. Not to defend him for that, but there’s a reason Cousins is mad. Truth be told, and everybody knows it, the Sacramento Kings suck.
Demarcus Cousins is legitimately one of the best players in the NBA and his numbers are going to waste. The Kings haven’t been a playoff team since 2006 and they weren’t all that good then. Even with Cousins putting up monster numbers, the team is nowhere near 40 wins.
Early on, the Kings looked like they had something going with Cousins and Tyreke Evans. But, they dealt Evans before they could make a real impact, so Demarcus Cousins is on his own. In any other situation, Demarcus Cousins would be playing for teams contending for championships, but, apparently, that isn’t happening now.
The Sacramento Kings are godawful and not getting better any time soon. Anyone who is as good as Demarcus Cousins and losing like this would be upset. So, if the people want to see Cousins in a better mood, put some decent players around him, or trade him to the Lakers, Pelicans, Nuggets, or any other promising teams putting something together, because the Kings aren’t interested in growing, apparently.
