Diddy is being credited with restoring the feeling in hip hop and R&B with his new album. As a result, there are plenty of people wanting to speak to him. Many people love his new music, as it’s Diddy’s first album in several years. The one song that has people talking is the one called “Kim Porter.” Honestly, the song title says it all. Since that song was recorded, Diddy said his deceased ex visits him in his dreams. In addition, he credits John Legend and Babyface for this being the case.

Diddy rose to prominence in the music industry, in the early 1990s. During his earliest days, he was working as an intern with Uptown Records, before becoming the VP of the label. After that, Diddy launched Bad Boy Records as an imprint. Before the label took off, he landed a deal with Arista Records, which is where Bad Boy became a force. Sometime, during those early days, he and Kim Porter began their whirlwind on/off romance, which lasted nearly thirty years.

Diddy has expressed a lot of regret where Kim Porter was concerned. In 2018, Porter unexpectedly passed away, and she was found in her Atlanta home. As a result, Diddy publicly mourned the mother of three of his children. In addition, he helped raise her oldest son, Quincy, as if he was his own. However, the public mourning from Diddy sparked a lot of questions. Now, Diddy comes with answers. He spoke to Access Hollywood about his “Kim Porter” song and how she now visits his dreams.
