DJ Drama to release Gangsta Grillz project with De La Soul
Last month, it was revealed that Trugoy The Dove of the legendary De La Soul, passed away. At the time, he was only 54-years-old. Trugoy was also the cofounder of the group. He passed away at a hospital in Maryland, as his exact cause of death was unclear. However, natural causes were suspected to have played a role, though, as he was apparently dealing with an undisclosed illness.
Despite the passing of Trugoy, more music from De La Soul is on the way. In a new interview with Rap Radar, DJ Drama revealed that he’s working on a Gangsta Grillz mixtape with the group.
However, no exact release date or title for this project has been made finalized. But, for fans of De La Soul in general, this will definitely be a very highly anticipated collaboration with Drama. Drama had a huge run last year as well, as he released projects with NBA Youngboy, Jeezy, Dave East, Icewear Vezzo, and more.
