As long as DMX was gone, many thought he was done for good. Once considered the toughest man in the rap game, DMX displayed erratic behavior, due to his longtime drug addition. From the way things looked, DMX’s drug addiction had gotten the best of him and his career was over. It turns out, looks can be deceiving.
While fans were disappointed with T.I.’s prison sentences and had given up on him, it was nothing compared to their disappointment with DMX. Before he was released from prison, DMX said he was getting his spot back. Unlike T.I., DMX did not have age on his side and did far worse.
Knowing what he was up against, DMX hit the road and began performing his older hits. Rebuilding his name with older music, DMX prepared to release a new album, announcing Undisputed. However, before the release of Undisputed, DMX delivered his EP, The Weigh In, calling it an “appetizer.”
MTV News recently caught up with DMX and he discussed the new projects.
