Drake pays tribute to Takeoff on Instagram
Migos rapper Takeoff lost his life in the early hours of November, outside of a Houston bowling alley. Prior to shots being fired, Quavo was seen arguing with a group of men for about 30 seconds. As a result, two firearms were used, with Takeoff being the one who ended up being hit, in the crossfire. A 23-year-old male and a 24-year-old female were also shot, and got treated at a local hospital.
Tributes for Takeoff have since been pouring in all over social media. This includes many high-profile rappers, such as Drake. Drake took to his Instagram. feed on Tuesday night, to, post a photo of himself with Takeoff on stage together. He also reflected on time with Takeoff and other members of the Migos, in his Instagram stories.
“I got the best memories of all of us seeing the world together and bringing light to every city we touch. That’s what I’ll focus on for now 😔 rest easy space man Take. 🚀”
Drake and Migos have collaborated on plenty occasions. Drake helped Migos soar to stardom in 2013, by appearing on their “Versace” remix. “Walk It Like I Talk It” was also huge, in 2018. Last summer, he was also featured on their “Having My Way” record from their “Culture III” album.
