For the past couple of years, there has not been an artist to rival Drake as the number one in the game. As hip hop has shifted from just rapping to singing, it has played right into Drake’s hands. His dominance was capitalized when “Hotline Bling” took off.
Following his beef with Meek Mill, Drake won big with “Hotline Bling” and came just short of topping Billboard. While he did not get his moment, Drake knows many more are coming. Now, “Hotline Bling” has even more attention.
A couple of days ago, Toronto rapper, Mo-G, took to Instagram to call out Drake for stealing “Hotline Bling” and his style. After going on a two day Instagram rant, Drake has responded to shut the situation down. Without calling him out by name, Drake said the bright lights should inspire, not fry brains.
