There is history between Charlamagne Tha God and Drake that predates hit morning radio show, “The Breakfast Club.” Before landing the gig over at Power 105.1, Charlamagne Tha God made many comments about Drake that were negative. Because of this, Drake refuses to do the show.
Fast forward six years, Drake finds himself dissed by Meek Mill weeks after doing a feature on his album. Hot 97’s Funkmaster Flex quickly sides with Meek Mill and promises an exclusive track that never came. This prompted Charlamagne Tha God to diss Funk Flex.
In response to Charlamagne Tha God, Ebro takes the air on Hot 97 and airs out Power 105, saying the parent company is broke and “The Breakfast Club” is on so many stations because it’s the only way they make money. This morning, Charlamagne Tha God shared a video on Instagram of him with cases of champagne, saying it was from Drake. Perhaps Drake is looking to form an alliance with Power 105.1?
