Two years ago, Drake and Meek Mill went from being the best of friends to owning rap’s biggest beef. The two rappers often collaborated on records, with Meek Mill’s first album single featuring Drake. However, a rant against Safaree led Meek Mill to call Drake out.
His claims about Drake having a ghostwriter, led to Drake delivering his diss track, “Charged Up.” Fans loved the record and pressured Meek to come back with a response. When Meek Mill didn’t, Drake returned with his Grammy-nominated “Back 2 Back” diss, a radio hit.
However, the two quietly settled their differences, earlier this year. In the time since then, Meek Mill was unfairly sent back to prison. This hasn’t gone unnoticed by Drake and he used his platform to let it be known that he’s Team Free Meek Mill.
