Drake 21Had it not been for his run of mixtapes, it is probably less likely that Drake would be as big of an artist as he is now. Met with all types of critical acclaim, Drake emerged strongly in the rap game and signed with Young Money. Alongside Lil Wayne and fellow new signee, Nicki Minaj, Drake took over the game.

Drake is now on his third album and he titled it Nothing Was The Same, which is to be released in a few days. Already, Drake has revealed collaborations with a lot of names and they include Jay-Z and Lil Wayne. Last week, Drake revealed there would be a handful of new songs that are on the album.

Sitting down with Billboard, Drake gave them an interview about his upcoming third studio album. The entire interview is not out yet, but Drake talked about some of the songs included on Nothing Was The Same. Within the interview, Drake revealed Jay-Z would have two verses on “Pound Cake.”

Read an excerpt of the interview below:

On the ’90s-rap-inspired song “Wu Tang Forever,” he weaves boasts of sexual virility around a plinking piano and rapid-fire drums. The outro to the album, tentatively titled “Pound Cake,” features two incisive verses from Jay Z, even as Drake asserts himself above any and all competition by the song’s climactic ending. “Studied the game to the letter and I did it better, like I’m supposed to feel guilty?” he rhymes.
