Drake finally released his sixth studio album, “Certified Lover Boy,” last week. That arrived after a ninth-month delay, but he more than made up for it, with the quality of this project.
CLB contained 21 tracks, with features from Jay Z, Lil Baby, Travis Scott, Young Thug, 21 Savage, and more. It was expected to become Drake’s sixth straight number one album, and now, that is officially the case.
CLB is number one on the Billboard 200 chart, with 604,000 units sold, in its first week, according to Chart Data. The number two spot is occupied by Kanye West’s “Donda,” with 146,000 units. The third position is held by Olivia Rodrigo’s “SOUR,” with 58,000 units.
CLB also became the first album, to go gold, within a week, in 2021. Arguably the hottest record on this project so far, has been “Way 2 Sexy,” ft. Young Thug and Future. As of now, CLB is also the biggest number one debut of the year.
