First Week Projections: Kid Cudi – “Indicud”

IndicudHeading into this album, Kid Cudi had all the promotion anyone could ask for. A longtime member of Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music, it was a given that Kid Cudi would release the album on the label. However, this was not the case since Kid Cudi left the label in favor of his own movement.

One of the reasons Kid Cudi left was because of the separation he felt from the remainder of the roster. Despite this, G.O.O.D. Music supported the decision Kid Cudi made to leave the label for his own movement. Indicud was one of the most-anticipated albums of the spring.

Perhaps the promotion from his former label-mates speaking on his departure helped out Kid Cudi. In its first week, Indicud is expected to sell between 140,000 and 155,000 copies. With those type of sales, Indicud stands a strong chance of debuting on top of the charts on Billboard.
