Currently, Freeway is putting the finishing touches on Diamond in the Ruff, his fourth studio album. The album coincides with the most success Philadelphia has seen in close to a decade. It was nine years ago when Philadelphia boasted the State Property roster and Cassidy was a young phenomenon.
Nine years later, State Property is acknowledged as past tense, Cassidy is now the veteran on the comeback, and Freeway is solo. Meek Mill finds himself at the focal point of the new Philadelphia hip hop scene. Freeway remains one of the biggest artists from Philadelphia in the game, as he has lasted close to a decade, himself.
Freeway was recently in Boston promoting Diamond in the Ruff. The album is set to be released next week via iTunes. While Freeway was visiting Boston, Jasmyn Luxe caught up with the Freezer. Jasmyn Luxe would conduct a brief interview with Freeway. During their interview, Freeway would speak on his Diamond in the Ruff album and working with Musiq Soulchild.
