French Montana speaks on working with The Weeknd and Travis Porter on “Excuse My French” [VIDEO]

The strong mixtape run last year was only a preview of what French Montana intends to release to the hip hop world. At the close of 2011, French Montana revealed he was signing with Bad Boy Records and began promoting his debut album. New York has been looking for someone to revive their stagnant hip hop scene and it was French who led the turnaround.

French Montana will release his debut album, Excuse My French, on July 17, two months from today. Recently, French Montana was in Los Angeles and Karen Civil was able to speak with him about his upcoming album. Excuse My French is one of the most highly-anticipated albums of 2012. Five years of working the mixtape scene led to French being able to put this together.

With his album around the corner, French Montana spoke to Karen Civil about some collaborations fans can expect. Aside from the mentioned collaborations with Rick Ross, Diddy, and Max B, French Montana revealed he is also working with The Weeknd and Travis Porter.
